It has been an honor to serve you in the Arizona House during the 53rd and 54th Legislatures. I am running for re-election in 2020. This will be my third term. In 2017, when I took office, the Arizona House stood at 25 Democrats to 35 Republicans. In 2017, it was 29 Democrats to 31 Repulicans– the best position Arizona Democrats have been in since the mid-1960s. Could Democrats take the Arizona House in 2020? Yes, we can… with your help.

When I first ran for office in 2016, I said I would be the voice of the people in the Arizona Legislature. In my speeches and my votes, I stood with workers, students, teachers, patients, and women and children.

I look at every bill and asked myself “How does this benefit the people of Arizona?” As a result, I have one of the most independent voting records in the Arizona House. Check out my 2017 Legislative Report Card here. For Legislative updates, follow my videos and blog posts here.

Clean Elections Candidates are required to collect a minimum of 200 $5 Clean Elections qualifying contributions from people who can vote for us. With the required number of petitions and $5 donations from LD9 voters, I can qualify for public funds to run my re-election campaign ($18,121 for the primary and $27, 182 for the general election). Since I receive Clean Elections funding, I do not accept donations from political action committees (PACs), Super PACs (dirty money), special interest groups, corporations, or unions.

Please donate $5 to Clean Elections on my behalf here. This link will show all Clean Elections candidates who are collecting $5 donations (including me).
